Rether Diane White, 74, of Fayetteville, Georgia, peacefully completed her earthly journey on August 17, 2026.
Born on January 28, 1952, in Washington, D.C., to Edward and Selma Rogers, Rether graduated from Eastern High School in 1970. She began her career as a secretary at Gallaudet University, where she learned sign language, and later built a successful career as a patent legal secretary. She retired from Eversheds Sutherland LLP after 16 years of dedicated service.
Rether was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and woman of unwavering faith. She loved deeply, gave generously, and never hesitated to help someone in need. Above all, she loved Jesus Christ and made it her life's mission to share His Word and ensure that her faith was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted member of New Vision Christian Church, where she faithfully served in numerous ministries.
Rether leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ronald Rogers, Jerita James (Derrick), and Candace Jones (Orlando); her grandchildren, Derrick James Jr., Robert Terrell IV, Eric Terrell, Corey James, Jalen James, and Zoe Terrell; her great-grandchildren, Sylas Gilbert and Braylen Jones; her brother, William Rogers; her beloved dog, Gracie and a host of family members, church family, and friends whose lives she touched.
Rether leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, generosity, and, most importantly, faith. Her family finds comfort in knowing that the Savior she spent her life telling others about has welcomed His faithful daughter home.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
