It is with deep respect and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Lorenzo Newman, who departed this world on July 21, 2026. Born on June 18, 1944, Lorenzo’s journey through life was marked by dignity, grace, and unwavering strength.

Throughout his 82 years, Lorenzo touched many lives, leaving a profound impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His warm spirit and steadfast integrity resonated with those in his community and beyond. Although countless memories will remain cherished by those who knew him best, his presence will be missed dearly.

Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate Lorenzo’s life and legacy at the upcoming services. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at H. Griner Funeral Home Chapel, located at 186 Highway 279, Fayetteville, GA 30214. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A memorial service honoring Mr. Lorenzo Newman’s life will take place on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Fellowship of Faith Church International, 2553 Connally Dr., East Point, GA 30344. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., immediately followed by the memorial service.

As those who had the privilege of knowing Lorenzo gather to remember and celebrate his memory, his legacy of kindness, resilience, and respect will continue to inspire all who knew him. Though Lorenzo is no longer with us in body, the imprint of his life will endure through the many lives he touched.
